Processing Specialists, Potash
Location: Saskatoon, Vancouver, Canada
Responsibilities:
- Directing and managing the activities of junior process engineers while working alongside expert colleagues from AMEC's global consulting group
- Executing and managing potash project process engineering activities
- Liaising with client process engineers on design issues and incorporating client requirements in a cost effective and low risk manner
- Providing on-site support during construction and commissioning
- Reviewing and approving process plant mass balances, process design criteria, PFDs, P&IDs, plant layouts and 3-D models, technical specifications, technical evaluations and recommendations for equipment purchases
- Directing process plant HAZOP reviews and managing resolution of action items
- Participating in design reviews (model reviews, ergonomics, maintainability) and managing resolution of action items
Qualifications:
- Degree in Metallurgy/Chemical Engineering or a related discipline
- 10+ years experience in mineral processing operations and/or design, with a minimum of 3 years experience with Potash projects
- Ability to collaborate effectively with all levels of project staff and management
- Superior communication, interpersonal and presentation skills
- Ability to register as a professional engineer in the Province of Saskatchewan or British Columbia
