Vibrating Feeder Operating Principle:

Vibrating feeder is composed of vibrating body, spring, spring chassis, vibrating motor, and screen bar, vibration exciter which is formed by two eccentric shafts (driving shaft and driven shaft) and gear wheels.

Through the motors driving force carried by the triangle wheel, the upper gears of the driving shaft joggle and propel the driven shaft. At this time, the two shafts rotate in reverse at the same time leading to the vibrating of the machines funnel. Under the funnels vibrating, the materials will continuously move forward and some smaller ones will directly fall down the belt conveyor while passing the screening bar (there are some fixed spaces between those bars). Finally, the materials can be transported to the aiming place.

Vedanta Aluminium, Lanjigarh signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with District Administration of Rayagada and Vedanta Foundation on May 20, 2009 at Collector Residence Office, Rayagada to support 600 Anganwadi centres in five blocks of Rayagada district. The MoU for a project, named Bal Chetna program, was signed by Mr. Krushna Gopal Mohapatra, Collector, Rayagada; Dr. Mukesh Kumar, Chief Operating Officer, Vedanta Aluminium, Lanjigarh and Ms. S. Chaamundi, GM, Vedanta Foundation.

The project will cover all the Anganwadi centres in Muniguda, Bissamcuttack, Kolnara and Kesingpur block and 73% of the centres in Rayagada Block. All these centres cover about 30,000 children.

Children up to 2.5 years shall be given micro-nutrient supplement, where as children between 2.5 and six years will be given additional nutritional supplement along with the food provided by the Government, under ICDS program. Specialized training shall be conducted for the Anganwadi workers under the project to improve the pre-school education for the children. In order to make the Anganwadi centers more attractive, educational toys will also be given to each centre. Vedanta Foundation will be responsible for implementation of this program in the district.

Signing the MoU, Mr. Mohapatra said that the support would enhance the nutritional level of tribal children in the district. Dr Mukesh Kumar said, “In this tribal dominated area, nutritional level of children is below average. We are trying to make sure that through our Bal Chetna Project children get proper nutrition and care at the Anganwadi. This project will make the children healthy and happy and will increase their attendances in the Anganwadis”. As per the MoU, children in 139 Anganwadi centres in Muniguda block, 129 centres in Bissamcuttack block, 136 centres in Kolnara block, 115 centres in Kesingpur Block and 127 centres in Rayagada block of the district will be benefited in the project.

Mr. Samiron Sarkar, Head CSR; Ms. Sweta Upadhayay, Asst. Manager (CSR), Mr. Sanjay Sahoo, Asst Manager (PR) and Mr. BalaKrushna Rath, Project Head, Vedanta Foundation were also present during the MoU signing.

Presently, Vedanta is providing support to 400 Anganwadi centres in Kalahandi district, covering about 16000 children. Encouraged by the success of the program, the company extended the project to Rayagada district. The company has also been successfully operating 38 childcare centres with 1290 children in peripheral villages at Lanjigarh. The children are provided with free uniforms, nutritious mid-day meals, afternoon snacks at the childcare centres. ‘Bal Chetna Program’ is one of the Flagship program in the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities of Vedanta. The program is being implemented by Vedanta Foundation in partnership with local administration in Orissa, Chhattisgarh, and Rajasthan.

According to Raymond mill operating principle and working practice, we found that the main influence factors of Raymond mill's output mainly include:
1. One of the factors that affect the raymond mill's output:The hardness of the materials.The more hard the material,the more difficult to grind for the Raymond mill,and the more serious to wear for the equipment.The speed of the Raymond mill slow, of course,,the capacity of the Raymond mill is small.We recommend that customers use the equipment in daily process,should be strictly in accordance with the use of the Raymond mill's operating rules,don't use the equipment to crush the mateials that exceed the Raymond mill's ability.It's also the basic point of Raymond mill's use and maintenance daily.

3.The third factor that affect the raymond mill's output:The output size.The required size is high,that is the output size is smaller,the capacity is lower.If the customers have a high required of the materials’size,can according to their own production capacity and economic strength for other devices,such as YGM series High pressure micronizer.This machine have a wide range of product size,the smallest can reach to 2500 mesh.
4.The fourth factor that affect the raymond mill's output:the composition of material. If there is much powder in the raw material, it may reduce down the capacity. Because the powder will be easily to adhere.For this materials should be screened once in advance. For this situation, we recommend that customers should sieve the materials with the vibrating screen before the milling process.
5.The fifth factor that affect the raymond mill's output:The viscosity of materials.That is, the larger viscosity, it is easier to be adhesion.
6.The sixth factor that affect the raymond mill's output: The quality of quick wear parts (such as hammer,jaw plate). If the quick wear parts has no good wearlessness, it will reduce down capacity.

The types of rocks you are working with will have an impact on the type of equipment you need to get the job done.

You need to ensure the crusher will be used so it reflects the type of material you are crushing. To do this, you should learn if you need a single or double toggle To alternate back and forth between two states.
toggle - To change a bit from whatever state it is in to the other state; to change from 1 to 0 or from 0 to 1. This comes from "toggle switches", such as standard light switches, though the word "toggle" actually refers to crusher.
Even though the majority of single toggle crushers are well built, due to the motion of the machine they should be reserved for use with soft and nonabrasive materials. Hard rocks and ores, those with 18,000 to 20,000 PSI, are more economically crushed in double toggle crushers.
This is because the wear factor with a double toggle machine is less than with a single crusher, which will work harder to crush stronger material. The double toggle is robust enough to deal with hard ores, and because of this, the life span of the machine is significantly greater than with the single.
You should also give consideration to how many tonnes of rock a day you expect to crush in the machine, and whether there will be a secondary, or even a third step in the process before the rock reaches its final size.
A decision will also need to be made as to whether you plan to filter out smaller material before or after the crushing process. Prior to entering the crusher, finger-like accessories can be installed to separate the smaller pieces of stone to prevent it from being crushed along with the larger pieces.
If you don't have these fingers, you may need a larger crusher because more material will be going through the machine.
When you purchase you will also want to decide whether to buy a portable or stationary plant to work with. Portables are more useful if you are a contractor going site to site, compared to a stationary plant, which is heavy duty, and is better if ore and rocks are being brought to a single site.

The Alumina Refinery of Vedanta Aluminium Limited observed the 39th National Safety Week on March 4, 2010 at Lanjigarh, Orissa. The program started after hoisting of National Safety Day Flag by Mr. N. Nagesh, Vice-President of Vedanta Aluminium Limited.  Employees also conducted a Safety March inside the plant area in order to build awareness about occupational health and safety.

All employees of the Company along with employees of Associate Companies reiterated National Safety Day Pledge. The observation of 39th National Safety Week will end in March 10, 2010.

In order to increase awareness about occupational safety and health, the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) department of Vedanta Aluminium has taken up several activities such as Essay competitions and Poster competition etc among the employees and other participants.

Special training and demonstration program on road safety, fire safety and emergency preparedness would also be organized as a part of national Safety Week Observation. The company is campaigning with safety posters and slogans - displayed in the Plant premises to create more awareness among the employees and others. Employees would also be awarded for their safety performance.

The observation of 39th national safety week is being coordinated by the Health Safety and Environment Department, lead by Dr. RC Rout, Head (HSE).
